Rosewood Crawfish Festival – On May 7 starting at 11:00am, head on over to enjoy delicious Creole cuisine, great music and a day packed with activities & family fun at the Rosewood Crawfish Festival! Some of the featured activities include the Crawdaddy Dash 5K Run, a special kid’s area of games & inflatables as well as an Artist Village area from over 25 local artisans!
Festival of Gardens – Start your weekend off beautifully on Friday, May 13th or Saturday, May 14th, by stopping by the Festival of Gardens from 9:30am – 4pm. Columbia Green continues this tradition of showcasing private residential gardens for tour. The ten gardens participating this year reflect the different landscaping traditions in this part of the city. There will be many opportunities for inspiration for your own yards as well as Master Gardeners are available at each location to answer questions about the gardens’ plants, care and design!
Evening of Hope – Join Cancer of Many Colors on Thursday, May 19th for one of their premier fundraising events, Evening of Hope! Enjoy an evening of wine, beer, food, live music & hand painted wine glasses! Funds raised go to supporting CMC with their mission of meeting the needs of cancer patients during their cancer journey and helping them to improve their quality of life!
2016 SC Cornbread Festival – Have a tasty weekend on May 21 from 11am – 8pm with your loved ones by making sure to stop by the 2016 SC Cornbread Festival! This family-friendly event features fun like the Cornbread Classic cornhole tournament, Cornbread Cook-off, Classic Car Show, Cornbread Eating Contest, live music, children’s play land and more!

2016 Governor’s Cup Road Race – Lace up your sneakers on Saturday, May 14th and take part in one of the oldest, continuously conducted road race events in the area – the Governor’s Cup Road Race! This year is the 44th Annual race and features a new date, a new course, and a new era. The 2016 event is also privileged to be a RRCA Regional Championship event!
2016 SC Tour de Cure – Looking for a good cause to dust off that bicycle in the garage? Well, here it is… the 2016 SC Tour de Cure! This year is the 25th Anniversary of this great event to Stop Diabetes! Tour de Cure participants have raised over $250,000,000 since 1991 to move closer and closer to the goal to Stop Diabetes! Find out that your bike tire is flat? Not to worry! For the first time, the 2016 event also has a walking portion so you can still participate, so register today!
Jailbreak 5k – Join on the beautiful Memorial Day weekend to enjoy a morning of fun and friendly competition for the Jailbreak 5k! The 5k benefits the Lexington County Sheriff’s Foundation! Over the last 9 years of the Jailbreak 5k, over 4,500 participants have raised over $65,000 to support law enforcement efforts in Lexington County. Register here!
